Summer Beetroot chutney

Ingredients:

Beetroot Chutney with Ancient Greek Vinaigre 

 

Ingredients 

 450g chopped onions 

 600ml Ancient Greek Vinaigre 

 1 red chilli pepper 

 1.5kg ready cooked beetroots 

 2 teaspoons coarse sea salt 

 450g Granny Smith apples 

 450g granulated sugars 

 1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper 

 

Method 

1. Place the chopped onions into a pan with the Vinaigre, chilli and ground pepper and 

bring rapidly to the boil 

2. Add the remaining ingredients and stir gently until the sugar has dissolved 

3. Bring back to the simmer and cook until the chutney thickens 

4. Pour into hot sterilised jars and cool store until ready to use
